Hello,
I tried to install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2012 on my PC, (Windows 7, 64bit)... and after 87% it stalled for about 3 hours. So I had to reboot my PC to do other work. After the reboot, Office tried to continue the install and again another 2 hours of hitting the retry key... so I hit the "X" in the box and went on with my business thinking nothing of it. After another reboot, I get the same problem so I purchased "Your Uninstaller" to see if I could get rid of everything pertaining to Office that was on my PC. ...after every start-up Office is still trying to install so now I have to go to process explorer to kill the program everyday which is a little annoying... any suggestions would be well received.

Did you try to uninstall Microsoft Office by going to start > Control Panel > Programs and Features before you used "Your unistaller "? Does it show as installed in Programs and Features? If so I would use Revo uninstaller which is free to use. I guess you used the 'trial version of "your uninstaller ".

Please post back with more information.

kind regards,

Problems with Office 2013

Thank you for replying Tallin,

I forgot to mention that I indeed tried to uninstall first with the windows uninstaller. It was the purchased version of Your Uninstaller... however I will try your recommended "Revo Uninstaller" and give it a go.

I did a little searching around and found this site:http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/office-2013-known-issues-HA102919019.aspx and will see if I can find a fix.

It was very simple to resolve in my case.... I had the original PST file on a external drive and the HDD went out, so Outlook was looking for the PST file and could not find it. My fix was to copy an old PST file that I had in back-up onto another external HDD and made it the drive letter it was looking for and wella... right in and up and running.
