I lost the notes that allowed me to regedit and turn off the confirm delete nonsense. I have a big directory to clean out, so want to do a quick view on each, then click some for deletion. I do NOT want to waste large amounts of time with "are you sure you want to delete file xxxxx ". I had turned off that "option" in RECYCLE BIN, before telling bin to stop appearing. Please, some hero, tell me what to re set in regedit.
I found solution by setting "properties" on one of those RECYCLE
dirs that Win keeps adding back.
HERE'S something neat: I can edit but not delete msg. DUH!

I guess you are telling us that you found the box to uncheck when you right click on the Recycle Bin icon, click Properties and go to the Global tab.

lonnyjones1--On this BBS, only Moderators and Admin can Delete posts (though I am told a special plea to one of them might get them to do it for you). This is the case even though you will see a blue line Delete Post when you click Edit.

Back to the confirm delete message, it is a layer of safety to prevent you from deleting things you do not want to delete. But for confident people it is one more click per item and so could be a nuisance when deleting many items.
