Win98 LAN quick enable/disable?

    How can I an add an icon/button to quickly enable/disable, and see status on taskbar of my LAN connection in Win98?

    Pulling up the device manager, etc. takes forever!

    I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for, but Zone Alarm offers those features. Even the free version has an activity indicator that stays on the bottom of your screen, and an internet lock button.
