On 16 Jan, I ran a virus scan on a file server and came back with "Backdoor/Espionage.Server" virus on my system. Has anyone heard of this virus? The only reference I can find is on the Computer Associates web site which by the way is the anti-virus software we use. In contacting Computer Associates several times, they have been less than forthcoming with any information, in fact, there only reference is in their latest signature update and there is no info on damage potential or repair. Help me please. Thanks in advance.

There's zip on the web about it except on the CA wbsite, and as you noted, it only lists it as one it detects.

Are you using the paid version of CA's AV program? If so, they owe you at least a little support.

BTW, re that list, are they trying to convince us that there have been 5,643 (count by MS Word 97) "Newly detected viruses since last update "? When WAS the last update? 1998?
