using WIN XP SP3 system begins to boot and goes all the way to desktop screen with cursor in place but there are no icons, no start button. previously when this happened I'd reboot and it took some time but eventually all was good. now I get nothing, I can access task manager and cursor moves. that is all. Note previously when this happened I'd just reboot and it eventually would complete, but now it wont I also observe that the working desktop is taking longer and longer to come up.
    please help
    critical
    thanks.

Solved in a different way - had to go to safe mode and there I uninstalled Malwarebytes. Problem solved (for now at least)
