KaZaA, Ad-Aware, Lite

Well, i know KaZaA is LOADED with Spyware. I have KaZaA Lite (KaZaA Lite is KaZaA without the spyware and pop ups) but i find it annoying how it always takes me to the forums, and desn't have all the options that KaZaA has.

So I was thinking, Would it be safe to D/l KaZaA again, and run ad-aware now and again to get riid of the spyware?

Are there any other problems with KaZaA

I don't mind a pop up now and again, but spyware... *shivers*

Also, is Diet KaZaA any good?

 

As far as I know, running Ad-aware with Kazaa (not lite) will disable it.

Daizy is right it killed My KaZaa so RIP & I haven't reinstalled yet or found an alternative to it.

I was a satisfied Kazaa Lite user until I started using WinMX, which can be had here http://zeropaid.com/ along with over 80 other file sharing programs. WinMX seems to have more users and a better selection of obscure and hard to find music, live recordings, bootlegs,etc. than Kazaa. The interface is the best I've seen. No ads or spyware either.

 

Just an FYI....if you want a download site, www.winmx.com is free and spy-ware free! I installed it and then ran ad-aware and nothing was found and it still works fine.

I would recomend SpyBot over AdAware for two reasons.
SpyBot is more complete and updated.
The new version of AdAware isn't out yet and there are problems with the old version regarding updating the search engine and definitions.
I can't find the thread/link to the article, but after using SpyBot and reading it I un-installed AdAware.
