I have OO 3.3 installed on my Dell Mini (Win XP); I never *have* had MS Office on this computer, yet when I run Belarc Advisor, it tells me I'm missing 4 important MS updates - all of them "security updates for MS Office 2010" (KB2553091, KB2589320, KB2589337, and KB2553260). I've never had any weird 'discrepancies' with Belarc before, so I'm curious about this.
Does anyone know if there is any reason for me to install these updates?
    Thank you!

Look in the Control Panel/Programs and see if there is any MS Office stuff listed there. Some PC's come with like a trial version of some of the MS Office stuff and that may be what it sees.

I still don't have a definitive answer for this, but it makes no sense to me that MS Office updates would be required by OpenOffice - so I'm opting to ignore Belarc's "advice ".

Does Belarc show any MS Office stuff in there?
