I have MS Office 97 Standard Edition. I don't know which program to use, either word or excel to create my finished product.
I want to create a document or form ? (I don't know what to properly call it)
The document i need to create will be used by me to create a Lesson Plan for teaching. It will have a series of boxes, similar in apperance to a calendar.
Each box should have a text box with word wrap capability. I want to type in each box my plan for that day. I then want to print it and put in my loose leaf binder. Each box should have a locked word inside the box that cannot be typed over or moved. The word wrap feature should wrap around this word.
I do not need pull down features, although, somewhere down the line this may be useful because I will be inserting a word from a list of often used words, in each box.
I'm not familiar with these programs' nomenclature, ie., text box, object, field etc.
    thanks
    Greg

    word/excel -more info...

I have a hard copy of the above mentioned form. I also have it on a disk, created in Word, given to me by someone, but I'm able to delete the lines, boxes and text. It has no lock-out, but it does have word wrap in each of the boxes. When I open the file in Word that is newer than Word97, such as the program i have at work, a message appears having to do with "macros" and to turn them on from the original program. When I open this file in Word97 I get no such message.
