[Gateway LX6810-01 error: "Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media"]

    ok so now, if i wanted to make this system work again, I would need to get a new hard drive? Should I replace it with the exact same one or can i use a newer one? Also then do i need to contact Gateway to see if i can get an OEM recovery disc?

    Your 'best bet' at this point is to contact Gateway support. You'll need a new HD, but Gateway can tell you what you need or what is compatible.

    Arie, I tried contacting Gateway but they won't even allow me to email them. I was wondering if you knew anything else I could try?
