    Hello,
I have a Packard Bell SW51-B-012 laptop running Windows Vista.

It has 2x 512mb memory cards installed and shows memory (RAM) of 1GB.

The details on the 2x memory cards are as follows:
    512mb 2Rx16 PC2-4200S-444-12 HYMP564S64CP6-C4-AB.

I would like to increase the memory (RAM) and need to know what is the maximum memory I can install in this machine?

I understand that these memory cards have to be installed in pairs, is that correct?

Could you also please advise details and possibly stockist of memory cards that would be suitable

    Regards
    ppeetteerr

Hi ppeetteerr. To determine what type of memory your laptop uses and to see what the maximum amount of memory the laptop can use is, run the Crucial System Scanner.

It will tell you how much RAM your laptop can support.
