Upgrading XP>W8 - no Winkey on kbd

    Hi. I read Arie's helpful article on how to "upgrade" from XP to Windows 8. I read at one point "Launch Windows Explorer by pressing the Winkey+E ". I use a keyboard which has no Winkey, and have managed without it for 30 years now. Is the Winkey absolutely essential, or is there a workaround? Thanks.

    I can hardly rember a keyboard without... but yea, you can do without. You'll have to click the "Classic Desktop App ", then you can click the Windows Explorer shortcut on the taskbar.

    If you ever find that you do need to press the winkey then I believe Ctrl->Esc does the job.

    Why not get a new keyboard? - they are VERY cheap now -I`ve seen one in Amazon for £6.00 (14202.35 Lira)
