    Hi all,

I have a new problem. I think it has to do with my RAM.
Every so often, I get an error when shutting down my computer.
I get a pop-up on top of the shutdown screen:

    C2c_service.exe "“ Application Error
The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000â€
The memory could not be "readâ€
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click Cancel to debug the program
On the bottom it shows the 2 buttons

    Is my RAM going bad?

    Thanks
    Sven

In most cases "c2c_service.exe" is part of Skype's Internet Browser Extension providing the "Click to Call" service. This extension modifies web pages to provide an easy way to make Skype call to any contact that might be displayed on a web page. Personally, what I would do is temprarily disable it and see if it solves the problem. To do this, click the Start orb, type in:
    cmd
and a list will pop up. Right-click the "cmd.exe" in that list and select "Run as administrator ". At the command prompt, type in, (or copy and paste), the following two commands:
sc stop "Skype C2C Service "
sc config "Skype C2C Service" start= disabled
(Press [Enter] at the end of each command). If that seems to resolve the problem, you're done. If not, you can re-enable it with the two commands:
sc start "Skype C2C Service "
sc config "Skype C2C Service" start= enabled
If you'd rather delete the problem "c2c_service.exe" program file, the default location is "C:\ProgramData\Skype\Toolbars\Skype C2C Service ".

Another approach that might work would be to remove and then reinstall Skype.

    Looks like it worked.
    Thanks
Next time I upgrade, it will re-install and undo what I did. Hopefully they fixed it by then.
