    Welcome to the board! :)

I used Partition Magic when I had a Windows XP machine and it worked OK. And I used it when I got my Windows 7 machine, again successfully.

What version of PM are you using? Is it compatible with XP?

Did the partitioning process appear to go along OK before you tried to reboot? Did you get any warnings at any point? What exactly happens now when you try to boot up -- nothing? boots almost all the way? any beeps? does it just stall at some point?

It would help if you'd provide some more information about your system.

    Good luck.

Perhaps you should inform us of how many partitions you created, and where did you put them? Meaning like did you create a new C: drive, and then move the old C: drive where it is now the D: drive?
Chances are your Boot.Ini file is not pointing to the correct partition (or drive) where windows is installed.
