At times the Windows Live Mail does not close but freezes, requires to Refresh to enable closing the window. Windows 7 64bit. Error has only started over the past week, no additional software has been added or installed.

Intermittent problems are hard to pin down. Only suggestion I could make is to remove, then re-install WLM. As I have said on other occasions, WLM isn't the best of software.

Arie, thanks for your reply. I will just continue using Refresh to clear window when necessary.

Thanks for the advice Arie. Am so annoyed with WLM as it freezes constantly. Have checked and re-rechecked, and refreshed etc., but am sick of it. Have Windows 7 Home Premium...which apparently doesn't mean much. Have to keep forcing shut-down and removed all plugs etc. because if I attempt to re-start, I keep getting "Insert boot disk..." etc. (Huh? What?).

As you can see I am not tech-savvy in any way, and I apologise if I've posted this in the wrong thread (have read through many, but this one seemed relevant).

Would appreciate any comments or assistance.

    Thank you.

My error cleared up on its own, the cause remains a mystery.

    Hi BobbyScot,

Yep...for one whole day, everything ran smooth as silk and have no idea why! It surely is a mystery. Sigh.
