    Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a special way or special format to send background music in an e-mail message in Outlook Express 6.0?

I have tried sending mp3 file but I keep getting message:
"One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message, these will not be included." (Even though I am not sending pictures)

Do you have to use another format other than mp3?

    Thanks for any help.

Go ahead and send it in spite of that message. It works. If you have any doubts, send it to yourself, you'll see (er..hear).

Update: Perhaps it doesn't work after all. I tried sending to my local mailbox, and it came through just fine but when I sent it to my Internet based box (Yahoo) it didn't. Go figure. Maybe it works only because I have the mp3 on HDD.

edit, From what I can tell, you can't use mp3's for OE background. That's news to me too. It seems you must either use .wav, mid, .au, or if wanting to use mp3's, you must attach them in the conventional way.

    We live and learn.
