Been using Security Essentials for a few years and for the first time it was red and turned off. I clicked turn on but didn't start. Up to date, scanned and no viruses. I came across error 08x00705b4 and googled it. Seem,s alot of fix it promotions, so came here. I did reboot and seems fine. Should I do anything more other than just disc cleanup?

Hi rondom. If a reboot of the machine fixed the problem then I think its probably a fluke with MSE. If MSE is now working fine with no issues and you have rebooted the machine a few times to make sure that everything works, then I don't think any further action is required on your part.

What Windows OS are you running? Is Windows up to date?

Ok cool. Since you marked the thread as resolved then I guess this issue is now resolved.
