I always fail to see the logic of users installing preview (beta) software on their 'live' system

If you created a new profile & still get the error, you may be Fubar...

The workaround (not creating a new profile) is deleting a registry key:

    1. Close Outlook
    2. Locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\{profile name}\0a0d020000000000c000000000000046
    3. Delete the binary value 0003036f

{profile name} is the name of your Outlook profile.

When you next start Outlook, the warning message will be gone and Outlook will automatically recreate the key with the correct value for the current version.

In the Windows Registry. Make sure you make a backup of your registry before you attempt to delete the key I suggested.

Try to re-install the 2007 version.
