Why can't I download Youtube videos on Chrome? I have to go back to FF, which I don't care as much for, or worse IE.
Is there a way to download clips on Chrome. This is true for multiple computers that I use.
    Thanks:p

Please describe what happens/doesn't happen when you attempt to view the videos?

I'm using Chrome and haven't had any problems.

I should have been more clear, I can view clips but there is no button that pops up which says "Download this clip" meaning download to folder in my computer that I may then play with Realplayer.

In Chrome, click the Wrench icon, then "Settings" > "Extensions" > "Get more extensions ".

In the "Search the store" box, type in "youtube video downloader" (without the quotes) and press [Enter].

Select which one you want from the list.

If you have Java installed you don't need an extension for any browser in order to download youtube videos. Just go to the video page at youtube and type "kiss" in front of the URL. example:
    http: // kissyoutube.com / 1234567890

No joke. Browser plugins such as Real Player, Quicktime, Windows Media, Flash, etc. do not allow one to download Youtube videos. They only allow one to view the media inside the browser. One needs additional browser extensions to be able to download and save the Youtube videos. Or, as I stated earlier, if have the Java Runtime Environment installed then one can download using "kiss ".

For TonyT's suggestion to work, after typing in "kiss," you have to either press the Enter key on the keyboard or click the "Go to" icon in the browser.

The information in Download This Video in Google’s Chrome Browser should help explain the problem created by a recent Chrome update and how to fix it.
