I use the Telnet feature almost daily. I got to RUN. Click the drop-down arrow and select the address I want. But over time I have a list of addresses I no longer use. I can't find a way to delete them. How can I remove the addresses I don't need? Running XP Pro.

If your talking about the Web Browser, I use Firefox, clearing the History doesn't clear the addresses in Telnet. If it's something else, please specify.

Control Panel-> Internet Option (same options found in IE) will clear ALL...

Or do it manually in the registry-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

    Try this:
    1. Right-click the Taskbar and select Properties.
    2. Click the Start Menu tab, then the Customize button.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, then the Clear List button.
    4. Click OK, and OK again.

AFAIK, telnet does not retain stored URLs, but the Run dialog retains a history of previously typed commands. To clear the typed commands, delete the Internet Explorer History. I never launch telnet from the Run dialog, I just open a command prompt and go from there.

Open Run, click the down arrow to open the list.

Use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to go to and select an entry you want to delete.

Once you have an entry selected, press the Del (delete) key on the keyboard then use the arrow keys to go to the next entry you want to delete, press the Del key, etc.
