Thanks PeteC, I will certainly use that method. Haven't changed an LCD screen since tech school. I'm in my sixties so I forget things.

This gettin old thing is just plain gettin old. How many times a day do you walk into the kitchen open the icebox door and do not remember what you're looking for. I lose count after 3 times. Just waitin on the screen. Should come some time today. Hopefully.

Murphy's Law at work. They sent the wrong screen. It's another wonderful day in the neighborhood.

Oh dear! it becomes easier when one reaches 80s to forget even more. Help is always at hand at Windows BBS, thank goodness.

Used the first method by screen surgeons. Worked like a sharm. Thanks again PeteC.

In this case very useful. I was going to do it the old way. Rip the whole laptop apart. This way was much faster. So thanks again-

Don't forget to make a note of how you did this - for next time - and remember where you left the note!!! :D

I've found a lot of help on YouTube videos. You have to sort out some junk at times, but I was able to dismantle Android smart phones and renew the Digitizer and the LED screens from Video Tutorials.

    And the phones WORK!!! :D
    Cheers Neil. ;)

I'll give the note to my wife so she can forget where it is for me. This way we can both have some fun looking for it.
