I keep getting three phissing e mails every time I start Windows mail.
I delete them each time they come up, but the same three e mails keep coming back.
I had them scanned with ZoneAlarm extreme security and no malicious files were found. You can see the dates on the picture and they are every time the same. This issue started about a week ago and I would like to remove them permanently.

If you are talking about the PayPal one, that was a legit e-mail. Don't know why you keep getting it. I see the date on it.

    Thanks for the reply Mrbill

They originated in Australia, plus I never had a paypal account. So, I assumed they were phissing e mails since they asked to update my account (Click on a link)

You may want to head over to the Malware section and post what is asked to make sure that you are really clean. Broni is good at what he does there.

Broni found that my system was clean and that I should go back to this forum section. Hopefully someone will find a way for me to get rid of these three continually popping up e mails.

One suggestion would be to log onto your web mail at your ISP - before you fire up your emailer and mark them as spam or delete them there and see what the outcome is.

As they are dated back in May they may not be being deleted from the server once you have downloaded them.

Thanks Pete, I did check my e mail account with my ISP and at this time the e mails were not there. I have sent a help request to my ISP to see if they are hidden on their server. I shall post the results when I receive them.

It appears that the e mails in question are somewhere in a Windows Mail folder because they are definitely not on the web server.
I tried to locate the folder, but could not find it. Could someone please post the steps to locate this elusive folder.

    Reply received from my ISP:
That could be trapped somewhere but you would be able to delete it yourself. IF you just go to http://webmail.shaw.ca and log into your email and see if they are in there. Check any folders you have as well and just make sure they are deleted and that should clear up any issues. Thank you.

I rather suspect that your ISP was referring to folders in your web mail account, not to folders on your computer.

Although I have never used Windows Mail you should find the files here ....

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\

Where userprofile is your account name. However all you will see are files relating to each folder that you have in WM - you will only see the contents in Windows Mail itself.

Sorry for being so dense, but do I use the percentage symbols as quotes?
I tried to copy and paste the line (with the account name) in 'search' both ways and looked for a place in Windows Mail and the web based mail account, but had no luck pulling up a folder to look at.
Where exactly do I place this line: user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

    Open Windows Explorer

Under Tools > Folder Options > View check the radio button by 'Show hidden files & folders' > Apply

Then click on the C:\ drive and click on each of these folders in turn ....

Users > Your User Name > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Windows Mail

    The full path is ......

    C:\Users\Your User Name\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

What you will find there I do not know as I do not use Windows Mail.

When you have finished go back to Tools > Folder Options > View and uncheck the radio button by 'Show hidden files & folders' > Apply

For example, if your username on the computer is voltigeur, click the Start button, type in:

    c:\users\voltigeur\appdata\local\microsoft\windows mail

    and press [Enter].

Thanks to all of you who helped with this issue.
My mistake was to add '-PC' with the user name.
