    Hi,

    I am facing a problem with MS Office 2003 in my system that during working with Excel, when i click especially on Bold, Underline or Print preview, system do busy and takes almost 20-30sec to return/complete the job. Also when I click on "Compose New Mail" button in MS Outlook, system also do busy likewise. But in MS Word, Bold and Underline functions work as normal but when click on Print Preview, system do busy like Excel.
    Please assist how to fix this problem.

    Hi Evan Omo;

    I did as you instructed but faced same behavior.
    All other operations of system perform well just face problem in Excel and word during Bold, Underline or Print preview.

    I seem to remember that in earlier versions of Office there was Detect & Repair under Help. Don't recall if you might need the install CD or not - think it depends on whether or not you opted to store the MSO files on the computer during installation.

    During scanning of "C" drive, system detected many errors. Please see the attached image of errors.

    The majority of the file errors shown are Temp files which are of no consequence and may be deleted .....

    Start > Run > type in %temp% > Enter to view.

    Others are in the Recycle Bin which may be emptied.

    I would not be certain that Nod has the ability to open the Hibernation and Pagefile files

    I would not see any of the above contributing to your Excel problem.

    The MSO cache is reported as OK so a repair of Office as I suggested should be straightforward.

    After repairing of Office, same results found. Could it be hard disk problem?

    Hi

    I just checked that drive partitions are well aligned but could not test the drive fitness as no time in these days and process is lengthy. Will test latter.
