If you want to disable hovering selecting a shortcut or file, go to Control Panel>Folder Options>General tab and uncheck "Single click to open an item," click OK.

Pete you are right on target, but when I opened the access center the box was unchecked which I assume would mean that the mouse hovering feature should be turned off. I did check the box, but the feature stay on. What am I missing about this feature?

    Thanks,
    Bob

Miz the Single-click to open has never been checked for use. I alway use double-click.

    Thanks
