    Hi Guys and Gals,

Things have really been way to quiet for far to long. I guess "backups" and windows 7 has made computers pretty self healing for the most part. How sad is it when one is wishing for "days gone by" when vista and xp problems were rolling in on the board. I thought I'd try to fill in some of this silence with a good shout of HELLO, hope for no echo, and send big Thank You to all board members. I guess I am suffering with some emotional nostalgia issues today, but a hi every now and then can't be a bad thing. :):D;)

    Howdy Back

Hi Ann, just a howdy back to you. I too have noticed the posts on WindowsBBS have dropped off in the last year or so. Could it be that Microsoft is finally getting it right the first time or two with new OS's?

Also could be a symptom of sucess of WindowsBBS in that computer users are learning from the BBS and are managing to fix their own compters with less help. Hope that is the case.

Still this is the best help BBS going. Knowledgable and timely advice from the "old guard" and new comers that stick around and contribute.

Special thanks to "broni" for his patience on the Malware forum. He has rescued many computers from certain death.:D

Also a thanks to Arie for running a well organized, business like BBS.

Hi Ann, I think things are moving quicker these days and there are more problems coming up with windows7 than we see with earlier OS's.
I'm running Vista and like it but still use XP SP3 in the other home comps. I tried Windows7 RC but when it didn't like my Graphics card, I decided to try Vista and see why everyone was complaining about it.
I don't think at my stage (age) I will get into the W7/8 era, as it would mean spending big on a new comp. I'm still trying to understand AMD CPU's let alone Quad cores etc. Cheers Neil.:D

I still have my Windows 98 CDs. In fact, recently I had to t-shoot a client's lab computer that I'd setup previously with Windows 98 in order to run his chiropractic diagnostic devices and software.

I could gladly set you up with a Win 98 system again!

Got dos. How could you have windows 3 without it. Don't know what version(s), though. It's been a while since I have had requests for this software. :)

Ok you got the DOS 2.2 how about to complement it with my first issue of Windows 3.1 on 13 Floppy disks. I will never throw them away, nor my original 5¼ Floppy drive with real floppy disk.
    Oh well dream on..................snoooozzze
