If I made a new folder on the C:, and installed Win 3.1, would it affect anything with win2k?

If you can format the new folder as Fat16, then it's worth a shot! :p Have fun. :)

How would I do that without creating a partition?

You would'nt, but you're thinking in the right direction. Another consideration is that Win3x likes to install within the first 1024cyls of the drive/partition. ;)

So is there a way I could install 3.1 without formating and making a new partition? *lost a little*

No, but you can use Partition Magic to reduce your Win2K partition size, leaving the free space at the beginning of the drive. Then create a new primary partition using the free space. Now hide the Win2K partition or *toggle inactive*, and make the new partition active. Install DOS6x then Win3x and a boot manager to give you access to both O/S's. ;)

Suggest you use PM6 or PM5 as they include Boot Magic. :)

Can I have a link to partition magic, and a step by step directions on how to hide my Win2k partition, and a link to DOS6x, and a boot manager. *really not too smart :)*

Try a search engine, and take some pride in learning for yourself. :D

Read all the manuals and documentation when you have purchased software.
