Resolved [Opening previously saved LibreOffice file at last location]

I am using LibreOffice 3.5 software with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I required to return my computer to its factory settings, after which reinstalled LibreOffice 3.5. However now, each time that I reopen a saved file in LibreOffice 3.5 it opens at the biginning and not as previously at the last entry made. Can it be possible to make LibrOffice open each time at the last made entry? Your assistance most appreciated.

Not familiar with Libre but I did find this:
When using Open Office, the cursor position at the time of saving was remembered, so that when the document was re-opened, you could resume editing or whatever from that position. Libre Office Writer re-opens at the beginning of the document. I've looked in customise and options with no luck. Does anyone know how to enable cursor position save?

The cursor position is saved if you fill in the personal information(first and last name are enough). Go to Tools, Options, User Data.

When the user is identified, LibreOffice will open the document were that user left off. This makes sense because a different user opening the same document will probably want to start from the beginning. If there is no user identification LibreOffice assumes it is a new user and always opens from the beginning.

Tickled I could help and thank you for the update. I did notice that this office suite does not come with help files and one must use the site forum to find and get help. Not a problem at all for users, such as myself, to filter search and get info needed.

Hi goddez1, I believe it be good manners to reply to members of outcome to thread posted. I found in LibreOffice a form of help file!! however in foreign languages -- thank goodness for members like yourself who come to our aid when required. Another point is Java is not required with LibreOffice as it was written out by the writers of LibreOffice. I do not have Java installed in my computer, as it caused errors to some of my software, anyhow LibreOffice works ok in my computer at this present time. Regards.
