Resolved File and Folder Access Problem and Odd Ownership?

Hello,

My PC tower (Windows 7 Pro) is acting up, I was editing a document in word and went to save the file.

Got a message about it being read only which it should not have been. So I check properties first, the read only box was not check marked.

I then checked the ownership of the folder because I tried other word docs and got the same problem.

In the Groups or Users;

SYSTEM
Admin (mycomputername\Admin)
HomeUsers (mycomputername\HomeUsers)
uuid 10000000-0000-0000-0200-00125A52C9F1 (mycomputername\Mcx1-mycomputername)
Administrators (mycomputername\Administrators)
WMPNetworkSvc

The first three are fine I expect them to be there as are the last two but the UUID or Universarlly Unique ID;

uuid 10000000-0000-0000-0200-00125A52C9F1 (mycomputername\Mcx1-mycomputername) Why is there and more to the point should it be?

HomeUsers were set to read and execute, list folders and read, I added write permission this seems to have fixed the document editing problem.

PS I have admin rights also the only account on PC

Any ideas?

Might relate to an XBOX connection?

 

I have 3 xbox360's, never noticed the uuid number.
Possibilities;

1.The link provided says it could be because of an old account happens when its not a fresh install, important data linked to that old account can still be accessed with this uuid.

2.Also advises to scan for virus or spyware infection. I do this every day avg and spybot find nothing. (Still could have infection?)

3.This is normal if an xbox is connected using wmc, I have done this. So this is hopefully the cause.

The reason I found this was because all my files and folders had become read only. I have corrected this but will confirm there isn't a virus.
