I am using Windows 7. I recently uninstalled Google Chrome and cannot get it to install again. I do not know if the one I am trying to install now is a newer version than the one I unintalled.

When I attempt to install Chrome, it runs for a while trying to connect to the internet, that fails and I get a message that I either have no internet connection or I have a firewall that will not allow it... I know the internet connection is good, and I get this same message even if I turn off my firewall (Windows Firewall).

Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you kindly for your help, I followed the steps given and was able to get Chrome to install... one little note that might be of use; the 'manual uninstall' instructions DO NOT have a specific 'how to' for Windows 7. However, it is farily simple and logical to click the dialog box that appears at the bottom to activate the removal sequence.

Thanks again, I will try to mark this as resolved now.
