    Hi,

After trying to install WinXP onto its own partition of a single HDD which already stored a Win7 installation, the System Reserved partition got unhidden. Eventually, I decided to delete that WinXP partition but I ended up having the aforementioned partition visible in Windows Explorer.

Is there a way to hide it again?

    Thank you.

Fixed it by deleting the letter it has been assigned and nothing seems to have suffered from this deletion.

But, will you loose any sleep wondering if and when you "need" to use the partition-> Will it work?

The System Reserved partition is still there. It's only assigned no drive letter now. From what I can remember it never had a drive letter. If I'm mistaken, please correct me. Windows 7 boots in a usual way so I guess nothing went wrong.

I thinking it's possible that if Win 7 dies and you need to use the recovery partition - you might not be able to.

Is it the system in your System Info? Maybe someone else is more familiar with it then I am.
