SN is very convenient, open it and you immediately get a "Post-it" on the desktop that you can type a note on. I'm looking for a VERY simple variant of SN, one that allows the Post-it to be placed (and kept) in a folder. For ex, I have a folder with 6 files, and I want to add a note "do not rename any of these files ". Right now I have to create a .txt document to write a simple note like this.

I use text files... What's the difference between that and what you'd like to have?

Check out NoteZilla. On the surface, it looks like it'll do what you want but I didn't investigate in depth.

Steve...sorry, I don't know what you mean by "text files ". If you mean like Notepad, it just seems clumsy to create a document, name it Read Me First, and leave a note inside. A faux Post-it is more convenient.

Miz...yep, that's what I want... "The most attractive feature of Notezilla is that it lets you stick notes to websites, documents, programs or any other window." But I'm Scotch, and it's not worth $30. But thnx.

I have marked this thread as resolved, altho I have not been able to solve it...I'll just use text files. I don't think what I'm looking for exists.
