Resolved [Scanner software stopped working: Twack_32.exe error]

For years my old scanner was working just great on Win XP. Yesterday I tried to run the program and I go a Windows error report regarding a file "TWACK_32 ".

I have spent the best pat of 10 hrs trying to get it resolved

After googleing it I was taken to several sights that claimed it would repair the file. They didnt.

I then reinstalled my software (was told that, that is where the file comes from), Still got the error.

Found a twack.zip file that was going to create the file and put it somewhere. The unzip process locked up and would not complete it's function.

I then tried down loading the file from another source, same thing.

Tried to do a search on my system for the file, nothing found

Anyone got any ideas????

Found the problem......

When you reinstall the software make sure you remove ALL the old software

Even though I reinstalled the software, the reinstall did not remove the old files.

I needed to uninstall the old software and I weat a extra step and deleted the old folder.

Now it works
