I am novice Navigator user- just installed. Browsing OK up to a point. E.G., get to Yahoo.com OK, then click on 'personalize' (to get to 'My Yahoo' login screen OK. Entering my yahoo ID and PW, OK, returns my personal portal/preferences screen.
When I then click 'email' to access my yahoo email, I get grey-box Security errors (Netscape does not recognize server, something also about Java script).
Are there default preferences in a set-up that I should change ?
Sorry if this is basic stuff, I've been IE for years.

    Welcome to the Forum, dmontesi!

    Hi dmontesi,

It has been a while since I used Yahoo Mail, and I don't recall having any sign in problems. Could you post the exact error message, as that would be most helpful.

Since you mentioned Java, it could be that you haven't enabled Java :
    Edit|Preferences|Advanced
Check to see if Java is enabled.

    Another thought... in your Preferences
under Privacy & Security, have you enabled SSL?

    Thank You Ramona

The problem was indeed with my Netscape Security set-up values- after enabling Java / Script and setting some more leniant certificate authentication paramaters, and enabling SSL, I've been able to get to everything. Thanks so much.
