just a couple of questions. I have a computer Win 7 Ulitmate the 32 bit version. Pretty new. I created a boot disk and then did the image backup and stored it on a SEAGATE NAS. This is a machine I do NOT have an install disk for as I bought it from a reseller. The backup image on the NAS starts out as a folder called WindowsImageBackup. The folder inside that is the name of the Computer. There are three folders under that and one file: MediaID and the folders are Backup Data (with the date and the number 235717), Catalog, and SPPMetadataCache.

So, if the hard drive fails, all I do is install the new drive, pop in the boot disk and assume there is an option that that sez get the image from such and such source (NAS) and all will be good again? I understand that the backup is for the time period I created it and any other stuff after that will not be on the image. I don't store anything important--it's just a school computer.

    thanks all
