My Win7 Professional computer will not shut down. This is allegedly due to Bitlocker not closing. Any help?

    Thanks.

I have only come across Bitlocker startup problems.

The avenues I use are to upgrade the BIOS, run Error Checking (CHKDSK) on the drives and remove (not just disable) Bitlocker, then run it again. [And in one case, the user carried the laptop in a trolley bag, I said to make sure the bag was picked up over any bumps.]

So, that's interesting, how come I have it in Win 7 Professional?

That is correct. BitLocker is a full disk encryption feature included with the Ultimate and Enterprise edition only. It is coming in Windows 8 but if you have Win 7 Professional it a big question mark that how come you have BitLocker. And above that, it is creating trouble in shutting down ? That is one big mystery case.
