I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC.
    I have activated it Successfuly.
MY question is .In the future when i have to reinstall my OS i have to activate again and again.
Instead of doing that there is a Microsoft Digital Signiture(a file about 7kb) which is written somewhere on my hdd. That file contains the Confirmation ID#.This can be used in case of reinstalling of OS,so i dont have to activate again.INstead you just enter the confirmation ID and then the activation is completed.

Is it true this or how does Windows 7 keeps the Activation.

i dont want to activate every time.

That is why i would like to know if such file exist and that is?

    Thanks:(

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Win 7 isn't any different they previous versions.
    Activation is pretty painless.
Why are you reinstalling the OS all the time?

Takes < 5 seconds to activate, it'll take longer to restore the files (if that works; haven't tried it).
