    Hi

I have a Epson SX235w Wireless Printer and I am trying to connect it to my Belkin N Wireless router.

I run the Epson install wizard and it gives me 2 options~:

    1) Automatically wireless connect,
    2) Connect via WPS.

I have also tried using the windows wizard.

I have tried all methods, but neither seem to be able to connect to the router.

Any ideas how i can get my router to 'see' the printer?

    Many thanks

    Gray

    Hi,

    Many thanks for the reply.

MAC filtering was disabled, which I assume it lets all devices connect. However, i entered the MAC address into the list and tried again. However it still did not allow it to connect.

I printed a status page for the printer and it lists my network in the SSID list, so i know it can see it. Makes me think the problem is on the Router side.

Look forward to hearing more of your ideas.

    Many thanks]

Did you have to enter the encryption key anywhere in the setup?

If not, temporarily turn encryption off and see if it'll connect to the open network. If it'll then connect to the open network, then you'll have to look at the printer manual to see where you enter the encryption key.

    Hi

I dont get to the point where it asks for the Encryption key. On my old router, the printer searched for a network, it then offered me all networks in range, i selected the one i wanted, then entered the encryption key.

With my new router, it doesnt even get to the point where it offers me the list of networks.

    Thnaks for the continued help

Ok. This printer should be WPS enabled. First you need to enable WPS in the router so that the printer can "see" the router. Follow the instructions here

Then you need to get the printer to search for the router. Follow the instructions here

Let us know how you get on.

    Hi,

    Thanks

WPS is enabled. Tried again. No Success.

I also enrolled the printers PIN on the Wi-Fi Protected Setup screen on the router setup. After doing this, is says 'error detected'

    No Luck.

    Anything else?

    Regards

    Gray

Does it give any info on the error it detected?

You could also try a factory reset on both router and printer in case a setting has been inadvertently changed. That'd allow you to start again from scratch.

You could also try what's suggested here

    Hi,

Many thanks for your help. It seems you were right with the printer factory reset. It seemed to be locked onto my previous networ and router. I reset the network side of the printer, and allowed it to hunt again....

All sorted, many thanks for the support
