[Can't find "Format" command for blank CD]

    When putting a blank unformated cd in my cd drive It will not format and I can not find the format command. Now what do I do. I hope I do not have to reload win. XP and service pack 3.

    CD and DVD do not need to be formated to use them.

    As Russ has said, you don't need to format blank cd. What program are you using for writing cd?

    Also note, you cannot format CDR disks, only CDRW disks. Both are already formatted when purchased, CDRW can be erased or formatted.
