I'm working on an HP Media Center PC m7250n. The owner in stalled Win 7 32bit. hulu.com and youtube.com will not play videos. the websites keep asking me to upgrade Adobe Flash Reader. I comply and install Adobe Flash Player 11 I restart the computer. Go to either website and get the same message wanting me to upgrade Adobe Flash Player. Is there a fix for this.

    Try this .....

Uninstall Flash using the Adobe Uninstaller rather than through Programs & Features. Then download and install the latest version.

It didn't work. Still got the same message. Even tried Windows Install Clean Up Utility and that didn't work either.

Hi lj50. Have you tried installing Above Flash Player using the standalone installer from here?

Assuming the computer is running IE9, open IE and click Tools< Manage Add-ons and check to make sure the Adobe Flash Player add-on isn't disabled.

After you install, check at this Adobe page if the install was successful.

Try this. Go to Tools/Delete Browsing History and put a check in all the boxes except Passwords. Click Delete and let it finish. A pop up will appear at the bottom of your screen when it is done. X out of the popup and then close IE and reboot. Then try it.

Does the computer have Firefox or Google Chrome installed that you can use to install Adobe Flash Player and test the issue with those browsers?

If Adobe Flash Player works on 3rd party browsers but not in IE9 then its most likely a problem with IE9.

EDIT: Looks like we posted at the same time Pete. ;)

Even though Adobe Flash Player works in Google Chrome it seems there is some setting that is preventing Flash Player from loading in IE9.

Do you still want to pursue troubleshooting the issue with IE9 or are you content with Adobe Flash Player working in Google Chrome?

I talked to the owner. He said that's ok with him. I personally would like troubleshoot IE9. He told me he was considering buying a new computer.

Ok then. So if the owner is considering buying a new computer then I guess this thread is resolved.
