When I first installed IE9 it would print but as time went on it would still print but came up and said that I had a "Script error ". This went on for a little while until in the end I could not print from IE9 and I had to delete it and return to IE8.
Windows update keeps wishing to install IE9 and I have allowed this twice but have never been able to print from IE9 and have again had to revert to IE8 which continues to print quite happily.
Has anybody else come across this problem and have they been able to resolve the IE9 printing problem?

I experienced this issue back in March of last year - IE 9 would not print under any circumstances.

The problem was resolved, in my case, by updating the printer driver (HP Officejet 6000)

Thank you for passing on your experience.
I have made sure that my printer driver is the latest version.

Even if the problem was the driver it would not explain why IE8 prints quite happily whilst IE9 does not; this is a very strange problem to say the least.

In my case the existing driver printed fine in IE 8, but would not in IE 9 until updated. However the fact that the driver was effectively reinstalled may have been the key - see below.

I guess you Googled the issue - IE9 print script error ? There are a number of hits and you are not alone in this problem.

    I read only one .....

Windows 7 - Script error when printing in ie9 32 bit

in which one poster resolved the issue by reinstalling the printer driver and another re-registered IE9's .dll, etc files.

A Reset if IE9 might have solved the problem - did you try that?

    Thanks for your help, Pete.

After reading numerous entries via Google (I had not done that before as I came straight to WindowsBBs) I used "CompleteInternetrepair" and it apears to have done the trick.
