Windows 7 Driver for Canon Elura 90 Camcorder

    I recently installed a Windows 7 PC (Black Friday) and it has been the worst decision I have ever made with PC's. I now have a $100 scanner, a $400 printer and a $400 video camera that are worthless since drivers are not available for Windows 7. I am working around the scanner and printer problems, but does anyone know how to download videos from a Canon Elura 90 camcorder to a Windows 7 OS. The original method was Fireware (again, not supported by Win7). I tried a Fireware to USB cable but now find out Canon does not have a driver. Any ideas?

    Not being smart here, but MS does offer a page that will let you know what is compatabile with Win 7 before you take the plunge.
    Maybe list what make and model of things you are having problems with and we "may" be able to help you find something.

    That's why there's the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor


    Don't know why you'd need a driver. Just connect & go? Try the original (Canon) FireWire cable...
