I have a shortcut to TV Guide.com in my faves that takes me right to my local listings. The first time you do this, you have to enter your ZIP code and cable/satellite provider to use the listings. I had done this months ago and just let it keep the cookie on my computer so it'd remember me when I went back.

Today I went back and had to enter all the info again. I never messed with the cookie, so what would make the site forget me?

Any number of things could have happened on the TV Guide end of things causing some data loss. Maybe their servers crashed and tossed their cookies. ;)

Well, I'll toss their cookies if it happens again!
