My grandson wanted a Ringtone I have on my Ideos U8150 Smartphone.
We've followed all the instructions and cannot "Pair" the phones.
We've used both of the suggested PIN codes (0000 and 1234) and they won't pair. Anyone got any ideas what may be the problem?

His phone is a Samsung GT-C5130. Cheers Neil.

I have never seen either one of those codes work even though they are always suggested.
Can you BT to your PC? That is the way I do mine and it will find it and do it's own number thing.

Mr.Bill, Thanks for your reply. I can communicate with my Ideos U8150 with my comp using USB connector lead and Download Apps no problem.
I have a Bluetooth hands free unit in my car and the phone is "paired" with this unit OK.
When I switch on the ignition and start the engine, the hands free unit tells me it's 'Power on' and after a few seconds it's 'connected'. The PIN (1234) was used for this "pairing" and the phone will be in my pocket.
The problem we have is that the phones will "pair" but won't connect.
I tried this evening to connect my grandsons phone to my comp and Vista Business (my OS) had to Download the Drivers from the Samsung web site.

When we connected the Samsung phone by USB to the comp, it did not show in My Computer as CD Drive G Mobile Partner or Removable Disc H as my Ideos does.
It just appeared as an icon and did not show when I Right clicked on the Ringtone in the Send to box. There was nowhere to send or drag and drop to.

I'm obviously missing something and will be thankful if someone can point me in the right direction. Neil.

    Further info about this problem.
We can "Pair" the phones - but they won't connect. Would this be due to the fact that my phone is a "Smartphone" (Android) and the Samsung GT-C5130 is not?

I have managed to Download from my comp to the SD Card (using a USB card holder) the Ringtones we were trying to pass by Bluetooth. Now he has to get them from the SD card to his Sounds File. Neil.

I believe that "pairing" is not the required step, you need to "Beam" the information to his phone. On my phone "Beam" is under communications, where I turn on the bluetooth, Phone, WiFi and other connections. Once you "Beam" the information to his phone, while the Bluetooth connection on both phones is turned on, he needs to accept the "Beam "

Thanks terschei, but I don't have a "BEAM" sign in the Ideos. I've had another look at the Manual and I think there is one method I haven't tried yet. I'll report back if it is successful. Neil.

For those who have been following this problem - we have success!
We managed to get the Ringtones entered into my grandsons phone through the Micro SD card and recognized. He is rapt - he has something his mates haven't got on their phones.
Will treat this as "Resolved ". Cheers Neil.
