    I recently built a new PC tower for my son Windows 7 OS, ASRock N68C-SUCC mobo, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB HDD, and a Inwin EM019 Micro ATX Screwless case 500w PSU.

    All parts were bought separate for a custom build; part of the problem is that the power switch on the front panel of the case does not come with the leads that connect it to the mobo pins. (Seemly newer/cheaper cases are built like this?)

    I have a suitable switch connector from spares I have, but the main problem lies with the fact that the power button also does not have a (plastic) rod at the back which lines up with the switch connector behind the case front. The reason for the rod is so when the power switch is pressed it is not over stressed.

    Here is the case;

    Any ideas? At the moment I have the switch external fitted with wire showing but would like to make it all internal.

    Thanks docdoom

    Ebay listing has been removed docdoom, perhaps uploading a photo somewhere will help?

    The listing must not be showing because I used an old link from an email, here is the link from google checked today;

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Inwin-EM019-Micro-ATX-Screwless-Black-Orange-Case-500W-/360377020742

    I've thought about drilling the case to have the switch visible, but this would leave a hole. Also its for my kid not me so want it to look good.

    Here is the power on reset switch;

    http://www.sourcingmap.com/larger_i...500ux0145_ux_&p=143190&products_imageType=jpg

    It is the silver power button on the case front, there is a big space between the button and the metal grill the switch is fixed to, to push the power button in to activate the switch requires the button to be pressed in to far which could cause it to break /or jam.

    Thanks for the suggestion and the links should be working now.

    I think you got a bad case. I have NEVER heard of a case that did not include the necessary wires for the power and reset buttons. In fact, this image from In Win show the wires.

    Did you buy this off Ebay?

    I agree with Bill, yes I have fudged switches on cases in the past but this was because the switch failed not because the wiring wasn't available.

    Where did you hear "Seemly newer/cheaper cases are built like this?" if from the seller and you did buy via ebay I'd give negative feedback if I were you.

    I also agree with this, a friend from college said that some cases were made like this, I think the case was missing parts, the only wires it had were the front panel USB and front output headphone jack.

    Any way cheers for the advice, I am happy with the solution of drilled holed I used the front panel cover where a FDD or card readers would sit. Works a treat. As for Ebay I already gave negative feedback.
