I am a phsyical media type guy but my son is an iTunes fan. We all use one computer in the house and my son is going on deployment in a few days. I have set him up with a laptop to keep himself entertained and with which to communicate with us via Skype. So...

I have XP Pro and the laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium. iTunes is that last piece of the puzzle. It is installed onto the new laptop.

    1. How can I transfer the media files over to the new laptop?
    2. Can both have the same media files or is it one or the other?
    3. Do they sync so that any change in one will be reflected in the other?

    Thanks for your help,

    Larry

If the songs are on the ipod, install itunes, import into the library on computer. Unless you use an ipod or an iphone, there's no real good reason to use itunes.
