I have a few applications such as Excel and my video viewer etc that for some reason always open in half screen or less view. I always maximize them to use, save them and close, but they reopen small again. I use Win 7 Pro.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Instead of using the maximize button, try dragging each of the four edges out as far as they'll go, and then close the app. With any luck, next time you open it, it should remember your last setting.

If you are opening from a Desktop shortcut set the Shortcut Properties to open Maximised rather than in a Normal Window.

    Thanks Guys.
Spyware Dr, your solution I've already tried and doesn't work. Thanks anyway.
Pete, worked. I don't know why I had forgotten about the link properties. Thanks again to both.
