Just goto websites where you have problems, with IE.

confirmed it, went to a site with some java game, a popup came up, telling me java was not installed, I tried to, it failed, said to do it manually which I have tried, I already have the latest one installed I thought, 7.1 or something.

Java 7.1 is not recognised by many apps & websites. Unistall it & install Java SE 6 Update 29 instead.

Here's the kicker, it's quite hard deleting it entirely and recommends that I do before freshly reinstalling. Any pointers on that?

Well, I know that much, however, when I search afterward to make sure all of it is gone, I see some left. Some of it can't be deleted either. One example, is in add/remove, some 6 26 update from a long time ago, it will not allow me to uninstall it, says it's not there or something. To be exact, it says it's on a network source that is not available.

UPDATE: It's not recognizing it in firefox, something is either blocking it or corrupting it every time I install or something...

This hanging **** is really getting to me, hangs every time I load, click, move the mouse to do an action is general. Can hang as long as a minute, surprisingly much more irritating then I thought...

Just one small note... You are on a dead end trying to work with XP X64... but that's just my opinion...

While I understand your opinion, I don't have the money to fork out for 7 or whatever. Installation is a fee as well. I am working with what I can get. Question is if anyone of the admins/techs here can/will help me out with this incredibly long-ran out issue.

Well, let me put it this way, this is the fourth tech forum I have been to, others have lost interest or users had to help me instead of the actual IT professionals on there. So, just not having much luck in general.

I don't think we can make this work without looking at your system.

Best would be to backup, reformat, reinstall & restore backup.

Reinstalling doesn't cost anything except time...

You are trying to fix something that is "broken by design ". If you cant afford $70 for Windows 7 HP x64, you should use a 32-bit OS.

Would I even be able to transfer my xp 64 bit data over to 7? If I don't know how to install, backup, and reload data after install, yeah it costs money.

As Arie said, it's a dead end. An untold number before you have also tried . . . and given up. That's one of the reasons you're having such a hard time trying to find solutions. There are none. :(
