    Hello,

I export photos from my Casio digital camera via USB1 to my hard drive. I recently installed an Adaptec USB2.0 PCI card with 4 USB2.0 ports. The camera still works with both the USB1 and USB2.0 ports and it is installed correctly with no problems in Device Manager. Then I installed a Canon scanner with Adobe PhotoShop Eliments, and now when I hook up my camera to either USB port and switch the camera on, I get a Windows Page Fault. (FATEL OE 0028.FF14B777) The scanner works perfectly with no problems in Device Manager and with the scanner itself. Using Windows 98SE. Does this sound like a conflict between the Twain drivers for my camera and the scanner?

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi ken545
Any chance we can get the complete error message?

    Hi Daisy,

After I hook up the USB cable to the camera...THEN switch the camera on ...This is when I get the blue screen with (FATEL OE 0028.FF14B777) the exact number changes a little each time. I got a reply back from Canon support and they said that I can't have 2 twain devices on the same port. I tried unplugging the scanner so the camera was hooked up by itself but still got the same error. A tech at work suggested uninstalling both the camera software and the scanner drivers and reinstalling them, but this time install the scanner first as the camera usb drivers where alreadly installed. I am going to do this a little later this evening as I have to shovel some snow while it is still light out:D

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Daisy,

Uninstalled it all and reinstalled with the same problem. Got a hunch about Adobe Photoshop Eliments and uninstalled that program and WHAMO, it looks like that may have been the problem. So far so good. I reformatted the memory card on my camera (IBM 340MB MicroDrive) and took about 2 dozen pictures and was able to export them to my hard drive and open them up in my original love....IrFanView...with no problems. If it acts up again I will post back and let you know.

Haven't been around the boards in a long time, been so busy with so many other projects. DoctorDoom and I go way back to the days of NoWonder.

    Thanks Daisy,
    Ken ;)
