I'm running XP Home, and installed Photoshop 5.0 LE.

It runs just fine right after a reboot, but after a day or two without rebooting, when I try to launch it, the program freezes and I have to shut it down and reboot to get it going.

I've tried running it in Win98 and Win95 compatibility mode, but I keep getting an error message "Cannot load PSUT9532.dll. 16-bit plug ins will not run" to which I have to click "okay" before it'll launch.

Anyone have ideas for a solution (besides buying a new version of Photoshop)?

    Hi dkline

Have you tried "Installing" the program through "Program compatibilty wizard ". I would recommend uninstalling Photoshop first. I recently installed Printmaster 7.0 program on my XP this way and works fine. Once in the wizard, browse PhotoShop install disk for setup/install exe. It will ask which windows version you want to run/install the program.
