My Dell computer has a BluRay player so went out and rented a movie. When I tried to play movie, got error 'unable to lay video due to digital format' (or something such as this. My display is connected using VGA graphics to my video card. What, or how, do I use the BluRay player?

The movie could be encrypted. In that case you need HDMI to play the blueray disc. If possible connect your monitor thru HDMI & test again.

My graphics monitor does not have a HDMI connection. It does have a DPI (believe correct spelling). I do not think the movie was encrypted. Just got error needing digital something or other...
