I have two Dell Inspirion 1525 laptops and with both units the batteries are not charging. The battery icon reads 62 percent, plugged in and not charging. I just replaced the battery with a new one and have the same message. My thought process is the system board, but before I start making good money bad, is there a daughter board on the system board that charges the battery that can be replaced or is the battery charged directly from the system board?
    As always, thank you.

Does the charging light come on when itis plugged in? Main problem with laptops of any brand is that the little pin that you plug the charger into, will break off the MOBO. PC has to taken apart to fix. Most places will replace the jack on the MOBO. The legs that get soldered are pretty short and hard to use the same one. They are cheap but the labor isn't.

The charging light doesn't light up. I'm going to disassemble the laptop and give it a go.
    As always, thanks to all.
